Medical Fitness Association (MFA) hosts UHBP Webinar (replay inside!)

Hosted in collaboration with our new partners at the Medical Fitness Association (MFA), this session, Underwater Hypoxic Blackout: Awareness and Prevention of a Silent Killer, provided an in-depth look at UHB—what it is, how it occurs, who is most at risk, and how we can all help prevent it.

We covered:

  • The physiology of UHB and why it happens
  • Behavior patterns that increase risk
  • Warning signs, symptoms, and rescue protocols
  • Best practices for aquatic facilities, including effective signage and swimmer engagement

This event also marked the launch of an exciting new partnership between UHBP and the Medical Fitness Association. Together, we’re working to integrate UHB awareness and prevention strategies into medically integrated fitness centers nationwide, ensuring safer aquatic environments through education and proactive measures.
