More than 180 friends, family members, and supporters gathered for an unforgettable evening to honor the lives of Virgil Price III and Whitner Milner, two remarkable young men whose stories continue to illuminate the urgent need for underwater hypoxic blackout prevention.
Hosted in partnership with Virgil’s family, the event brought together a community united by remembrance, hope, and purpose. Together, we celebrated the legacies of Virgil and Whitner while raising critical funds to support the Virgil Price III Memorial Reef Project and the ongoing mission of the Underwater Hypoxic Blackout Prevention Foundation (UHBP).

A Night Filled with Meaning
Dr. Rhonda Milner, co-founder of UHBP and Whitner’s mother, delivered a powerful message about the foundation’s work and the life-saving education, advocacy, and awareness initiatives underway across the country. Her words honored not only the loss her family has endured but also the collective determination to ensure others never face the same tragedy.

One of the most moving moments of the evening came when Brit Drozda, Virgil’s beloved sister, performed a beautiful tribute song in her brother’s honor. Her voice carried both the weight of grief and the light of love, capturing the heart of every person in the room.

A Community That Showed Up in Strength
Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance—and countless others who contributed from afar, the auction alone raised over $100,000 in support of the reef project and UHBP’s life saving mission. Every gift given reflects a shared belief in turning heartbreak into hope, remembrance into action, and tragedy into transformation.

Honoring Lives by Saving Lives
The night was a powerful reminder that while Virgil and Whitner are no longer with us, their legacies continue to inspire real change. Through events like these, UHBP is able to expand its educational outreach, build new partnerships, and equip communities with the life-saving knowledge needed to prevent underwater hypoxic blackout.
To everyone who attended or supported this initiative: thank you.
Your generosity, presence, and compassion are helping us protect countless families and ensure that the names of Virgil Price III and Whitner Milner are forever tied to impact and hope.
Together, we honor their memory by saving lives.
