David Allan Carter was born and raised in Southern California. He developed into an elite figure skater at a young age, and ended up a professional in that sport. Later, he was an entrepreneur starting and running a highly successful company that brought dance, martial arts and gymnastics to thousands of children in schools. He later became an accomplished artist and spiritual teacher with the Ridhwan Foundation. He and his husband had an adopted son from Romania. David had a great sense of humor and brought a spark to whoever he encountered. He was loved by many. Those who knew him continue to feel the profound loss of his passing. David died on January 9, 2021 in Palm Springs, California. He was practicing the Wim Hof breathing methods in a swimming pool at the time of his drowning. He was a very athletic man who simply didn’t understand the details of why doing this practice in water was dangerous.
