A few ways to raise awareness on this special day:

  • Share an image below along with your story. Let your network know about your personal connection to UHBP and why it is important to you to raise awareness

  • Order signage to be posted at your local pool or waterfront

  • Speak to someone in aquatics leadership or Parks and Recreation in your community about how you can partner with them to raise awareness this summer

  • Start a conversation: Speak to the lifeguards or aquatics manager at your local pool, ask if they are aware of the dangers and what they do to prevent UHB in their facility

  • Write a letter to city or state officials advocating for signage laws and legislation

  • Talk to a child or adolescent about why it’s important to never play breath-holding games

  • Make a contribution to UHBP - every dollar goes directly to raise awareness

*Remember that we are here to support you in any way we can as you raise awareness. Need some info cards? Need locker room posters? Need a slide deck? Let us know, we are happy to supply!
