A few ways to raise awareness on this special day:
Share an image below along with your story. Let your network know about your personal connection to UHBP and why it is important to you to raise awareness
Order signage to be posted at your local pool or waterfront
Speak to someone in aquatics leadership or Parks and Recreation in your community about how you can partner with them to raise awareness this summer
Start a conversation: Speak to the lifeguards or aquatics manager at your local pool, ask if they are aware of the dangers and what they do to prevent UHB in their facility
Write a letter to city or state officials advocating for signage laws and legislation
Talk to a child or adolescent about why it’s important to never play breath-holding games
Make a contribution to UHBP - every dollar goes directly to raise awareness
*Remember that we are here to support you in any way we can as you raise awareness. Need some info cards? Need locker room posters? Need a slide deck? Let us know, we are happy to supply!
